MELLOWTONE | DOWNSTAIRS AT THE EVERYMAN

with live music from:
 - The Pelican Band
 - Muireann
Spoken word from Sam Batley
& DJ Richie Vegas

TICKETS

The Pelican Band
Songwriting duo Sean Butler (Sonic Hearts) and Andy Campbell (previously of The Tenements) create beautiful music, like Sparklehorse mixed with the Everley Brothers. Country inspired, folk inflections, and delivered through a Wirral Instagram filter.  Live, they play with members of Eyesore and the Jinx and the Loose Moose String Band.  Their aim?  To sound like a beautiful death.

Sam Batley
Ex-Sniper for the Salvation Army. These are words from the electric stairs and the night bathing Siglow’s morning. Hung, drawn and quartered. Pocket editions not available.

Muirrean
Irish songstress and music-maker Muireann has been lending headturning vocals, influenced by her County Wicklow heritage, to the bands of Liverpool, the North West & London for the last decade.  Muireann is also a familiar face at Mellowtone, as co-songwriter and vocalsit for Irish rock and soul outfit, Seafoam Green, who are back on the road very soon.  Now, she embarks on a solo adventure of her own...

DJ Richie Vegas
Richie Vegas cut his DJing teeth in his late teens - messing about with hip hop and breaks - before plundering his family’s record collections and forging a sound that includes soul, funk, jazz, afrobeat and reggae.

OPEN MIC MONDAYS WITH DAVE O'GRADY AT THE DISPENSARY

Join Seafoam Green's Dave O'Grady, as he hosts a weekly open mic session at the Dispensary, Liverpool, every Monday night from 7pm.  Fine ales, fine company, and fine songs.

Want to get involved?  Message Dave on twitter or instagram.

WILDFLOWERS ARE COMING TO PRINCES PARK, LIVERPOOL
We're helping out with Mandela 8's wildflower seed sowing events in Princes Park, Liverpool, this April.  After last year’s colourful, rich display on our Mandela Fields of Hope, helped along by willing children and local growers, more perennial wildflowers like Red campion, Viper’s bugloss and Wild carrot will come through this year. These events will help enriching the mix with more sunflowers and biodiversity, for the enjoyment of bees, pollinators and us humans. At the sowing events with Scouse Flower House, music will accompany the sowings, to soothe the seed into the ground...
